Tulane CGHE supports the development of eHealth solution to enhance public health around the world. eHealth deals with the application of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) to support health sector activities towards achieving strategic goals.

The center has successfully Implemented national eHealth and mHealth applications that have enhanced health systems and have positively contributed to the improved quality of health service delivery, health professionals training, Health Management Information System (HMIS) including pharmaceutical supply and health care financing by providing quality data for informed decision making at all levels. Tulane University Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) offers technical assistance to health sectors in the development and implementation of eHealth strategy and application of e and mhealth solutions packaged as TenaCare Suite. The TenaCare Suite among others includes TenaCareEMR, TenaCareeHMIS/PHEM, TenaCareHRIS, TenaCareCHIS, TenaCareScoreCard, TenaCareAnalytics, TenaCareIVR for Disease Surveillance reporting and Geographic Information System (TenaCareGIS) software.


The TenacareeHMIS/PHEM is one of the national components of the holistic approach to modernize national health information system.
